Meet Gretchen
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working in the field of psychotherapy in Colorado since 1990. In 1989 I received my MA in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University and I've been licensed as a Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado since 1994.
I'm a third generation Colorado native and have lived in Erie since 2005. I am delighted to offer my experience and expertise in mental health counseling to the Erie Community. When out of the office, I enjoy walking on Erie trails, kayaking, cycling and camping.
Passion
My passion is to work with people in transition and I specialize in counseling women 40s and older who are in the midst of peri-menopause, post-menopause and all of the life changes associated with this dynamic period of time. Along with bodily changes, women are often additionally navigating caring for aging parents, adult sibling relationships, career changes and emancipating children.
Treatment Focus
My focus is to help clients deepen, heal and recognize their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space where I help you put your thoughts and feelings into words. While listening to your concerns, I partner with you to customize an appropriate treatment plan. I often find that we actually have all of the tools we need; we just don't recognize them.
My Commitment
I am committed to being with you as a witness to the various steps of your path. The goal is to help you grow from your challenges, heal from your pain and move forward to where you want to be in your life. How would it be if you didn't have to continue to struggle in order to be successful?
